What is Percocet?

Percocet is the brand name for oxycodone combined with acetaminophen. It’s an opiate which means it’s derived from the opium poppy plant. Percocet is a powerful short-term pain management medication. However, many people abuse Percocet pills because it provides the user with a euphoric high, similar to heroin. Percocet pills are usually swallowed, but they can also be crushed and snorted when used illicitly. Side effects of abusing Percocet include confusion, drowsiness, sweating , headaches, and nausea.

Percocet Detox Services

Clients in the Percocet detox program are required to complete traditional medical detox. Outright quitting Percocets can cause severe withdrawal symptoms, which is why at-home detox is NEVER recommended. Our team of doctors and nurses will monitor each client in the Percocet detox program to make sure that they are healthy and comfortable during the entire process. Doctors will also prescribe necessary medication to ensure clients are safe while they detox. Detox for Percocets lasts about 7 to 10 days, but it also depends on how frequently Percocet was abused. We offer a beautiful, serene environment complete with private or semi-private bedrooms for each client. We allow cell phones, laptops, iPods, and other electronic devices at our center, which makes us unique from other detox facilities. We believe that by allowing electronic communication devices we are minimizing the disruption that detox can have on each of our clients’ lives. We employ a personal chef who can create individualized meal plans for each client based on his or her specific dietary needs. In addition to a personalized meal plan, we also offer IV vitamins, tablets, and nutritional supplements for each client. Although clients in the Percocet detox program are required to complete medically-supervised detox, they can also participate in the many holistic treatments that we offer. These treatments are considered alternative approaches to detox, but we’ve found them to be very beneficial.

The treatments include:

  • Acupuncture – A traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncturists use needles or laser-points to excite specific parts of the body.
  • Yoga – From ancient India, the practice of Yoga helps our clients to find inner-peace and to become more balanced. Yoga is also great exercise, which is an integral part of any detox or rehab program.
  • Aromatherapy – We use essential oils which promote health, increase cognitive functions, and improve mood.
  • Meditation – This skill helps our clients to look inwards for happiness and peace. Meditation is a wonderful tool for those in recovery because it helps them to refocus on their goals.
  • Massage therapy – We employ talented massage therapists who are skilled in many different techniques. Deep tissue, Shiatsu, or hot stone – we have you covered!
