What is Synthetic Marijuana?

Synthetic marijuana, commonly known as spice or K2, is a dried plant product that is sprayed with synthetic cannabinoids. The chemicals are similar to THC (found in marijuana) but these products also contain unknown substances which may be potentially dangerous. Synthetic marijuana is usually smoked and side effects of taking the drug include rapid heart rate, vomiting, agitation, dizziness, and confusion. Synthetic marijuana use has also been linked to kidney issues, which can lead to kidney shut down if left untreated.

Synthetic Marijuana Detox Program

Clients in the synthetic marijuana detox program are not required to complete a traditional medical detox. However, a team of doctors and nurses are on-site 24/7 to ensure that all clients are safe and comfortable during detox. The process typically lasts 7 to 10 days; although it may last longer depending on how frequently synthetic marijuana was abused. Clients can kick back and relax in our beautifully appointed private and semi-private bedrooms with attached bathrooms. We allow cell phones, laptops, and other electronic devices, which makes us unique from other detox centers. We employ a personal chef who can customize each client’s meal plan, based on their dietary needs and concerns. We also offer an exclusive line of IV vitamins, tablets, and nutritional supplements to complement each client’s meal plan. Most of our employees have been in your shoes at some point and they are currently in recovery. We truly understand what it is like to go through the detox process and our goal is for each client to leave our detox feeling physically better than they did before. We don’t believe in “one size fits all” detox, instead we create a personalized treatment plan for each client. We also offer alternative approaches to detox, which are holistic in nature.

These treatments include:

  • Aromatherapy – Essential oils can improve mood, boost overall health, and lead to better cognitive functioning.
  • Meditation – This practice teaches our clients to clear their minds, find inner peace, and to refocus on their ultimate goal – sobriety and recovery.
  • Acupuncture – This traditional Chinese medicine uses needles to stimulate different parts of the body. Our acupuncturists use needles and laser-point, for those who are adverse to needles.
  • Yoga – Originally from ancient India, the art of yoga teaches you to look inside yourself for peace and happiness. Yoga is also a great form of exercise, which is an integral part of any detox program.
  • Massage therapy – We employ only licensed and experience massage therapists. Shiatsu, deep tissue, or hot stone massages are all available to our clients in detox.
