What is Valium?

Valium is the brand name for diazepam and it’s a prescription drug used to relieve anxiety, muscle spasms, and seizures. However, Valium is abused because it slows down the brain and nervous system, providing the user with a relaxed, sedated feeling. Valium is a benzodiazepine and it can be addictive if taken frequently. People who use Valium will become chemically dependent on the drug, meaning their body needs the chemicals found in Valium in order to function properly.

Valium Detox Program

Clients in the Valium detox program are required to complete medically-supervised detox. Doctors and nurses will monitor each client 24/7 to ensure they are safe and healthy during the entire process. Doctors and addiction counselors will work with each client to create a Valium tapering plan. Doctors may also prescribe necessary medications for clients in the Valium detox program. These medications will ease unpleasant withdrawal symptoms. At our center, we truly understand drug abuse and drug addiction. Many times, people find themselves dependent on a drug and they want to stop taking the drug. These people are not necessarily addicts; they’re just dependent on the drug. We employ many staff members who have been in your shoes and they’re now in recovery. We also employ a chef who is able to customize each client’s meal plan to fit their dietary needs or concerns. We offer an exclusive line of IV vitamins, tablets, and nutritional supplements. We allow cell phones, laptops, and other electronic devices on our premises. Clients have a choice of having a private bedroom or a sharing a room with one roommate. All bedrooms also have an attached bathroom. Our grounds are very beautiful and serene. Although clients in the Valium detox program are required to complete traditional medical detox, they are also able to participate in the many different holistic treatments that we offer.

These treatments include:

  • Acupuncture – This traditional Chinese medicine uses needles and laser-point (for those adverse to needles) to stimulate the flow of “qi” through the body.
  • Massage therapy – We employ only licensed and experienced massage therapists who are skilled in many different forms of massage therapy.
  • Aromatherapy – Essential oils may improve mood, boost overall health, and increase cognitive functions. We use oils, like lavender, to promote relaxation.
  • Yoga – Originally from India, the practice of yoga is very beneficial. Yoga helps our clients to find inner peace and look inside themselves for happiness. Plus, yoga is a great exercise and exercise is an integral part of any detox program.
  • Meditation – The art of meditation is a skill that takes some practice. However, the benefits of meditation make it all worth it. Meditation helps to relieve anxiety and stress naturally.
